DRAWING ON DANCE Whitworth Art Gallery 19 Aug
Playday for dancers and visual Artists 
Whitworth Art gallery Oxford Road Manchester
Thursday 19 August 11.30-4 £10
The day will be facilitated by visual artist Lynette Willoughby and Gerry Turvey
The points of departure for the workshop will be influenced and inspired by the exhibition ‘Wallpaper’.
The summer school is open to all curious explorers, you need some experience in improvisation, a willingness to play, experiment and be open to new ideas.

Wallpaper Dancers Residency and Performance 23-30 Aug
Whitworth Art gallery Oxford Road Manchester

An exciting new multidisciplinary project specifically for the Whitworth Gallery.
Gerry Turvey and Artist Lynette Willoughby will be in residence at the gallery from Aug 19- Aug 30. The residency will culminate in live performances.
The residency will be open to the public to view the artists and dancers working in the space, and in addition the following events will take place……
- Rehearsals 23-28 Aug open to the public 11-5
- Walkabouts/lunchtime ‘recitals’ 23-26 Aug 1.15pm. Meet in the foyer and have a guided tour of the wallpaper exhibition by the dancers. FREE (max 20 people)
- Open dance/yoga classes 23-27 Aug 10-11am in the gallery…some previous dance experience useful. Artists who wish to draw are also welcome at this time. Please bring own materials.
Performances 29/30 Aug 3pm FREE
